Steven and Kathleen Schou of Dickinson announce the marriage of their son, Joel Schou, to Medora Gruber. They were married July 17 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park, Minn. Medora is the daughter of Dale and Dianne Gruber of Waite Park.
She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1999. She earned her degree in education from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minn., in 2003.
He graduated in 1999 from Granville High School and earned a degree in art from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn., in 2003.
They make their home in Minneapolis. She teaches fourth grade at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School in Eagan, Minn. He is a Web designer/developer at BI in Edina, Minn.
