A silent auction at the Norsk Hstfest raised $8,400 for the Hstfest in the Schools program, which sends presenters about Scandinavian culture into area schools during the week of the Hstfest.
Lori Olson, media coordinator, said the Hstfest auctioned off a guitar, a poster and a sweatshirt that was signed by performers at the Hstfest to raise the funds.
