Amanda Ames and Brannon Scott announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. Their parents are Doug Ames, Minot, and Terrie Ames, Minot, and Blaine and Sherri Scott, Rolette.
She graduated from Minot High School in 2000 and received her cosmetology degree from the Headquarters Academy in Minot. She is self-employed at Absolute Style in Minot.
He graduated from Rolette High School in 2001 and from Minot State University-Bottineau in 2003 with an associate's degree in science. He is an apprentice electrician at Wheeler Contracting in Minot.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 16, at 3 p.m. in Vincent United Methodist Church in Minot. No invitations are required for the ceremony or for the dance at 8 p.m. in the Grand International Inn in Minot.
