Isabel Kraft of Minot will celebrate her 100th birthday at an open house Saturday, July 31, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Minot Moose Lodge.
The open house will be hosted by her children, Duane Kraft, Boise, Idaho; Darlene Blessum, Steilacoom, Wash.; and Darrell Kraft, Minot. Isabel has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was born July 31, 1910, on a farm six miles west of Berthold to Mary and Elmer Robinson. She grew up near Berthold, attended a country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Berthold High School in 1928. She taught three years at various country schools in the Berthold area.
Isabel worked at Montgomery Ward, Shirley Grocery, DuPaul's Jewelry, Stevensons and in Trinity Hospital's Medical Records Department in Minot until she retired. She married Christopher Kraft Dec. 3, 1931. He died in October 1983.
