Eugene and Betty Field of Douglas will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house Sunday, July 18, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the Minot Moose Lodge. Their children, Mark Field of Phoenix; Stacey Wilhoit, Keota, Okla.; and Diana Pederson, Aurora, Colo., and their families will host the event.

Betty Jothen and Eugene Field were married July 18 in First Lutheran Church in Minot. He was a mechanic and truck driver for Cenex Transportation in Minot. He also worked as a truck driver in Arizona until he retired. She graduated from the former Trinity School of Nursing in Minot and worked as a surgical nurse in Minot and Arizona for more than 40 years until she retired. They live at 24001-72nd St. SW in Douglas. They have three grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.
