Ed and Betty Zacharias of Salem, Ore., formerly of Bowbells, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house Sunday, July 11, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Bowbells United Methodist Church in Bowbells.
Betty Wick and Ed Zacharias were married Sept. 13, 1960, in Bowbells. He served in the Air Force for 21 years and was self-employed as a custom hardwood furniture builder. She worked in human resources for the Oregon Legislature.
Their children are Carleen Zubrod, Omaha, Neb.; Gary Zacharias, Keizer, Ore.; and Kent Zacharias, Norfolk, Neb. They also have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
