Willis Julson

Willis DuWayne Julson, 75, Minot, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.

Willis was born June 27, 1934, in Makoti. He was raised in the Plaza area and served in the Army.

He was united in marriage to Patricia Jones on Oct. 26, 1958, in Parshall. Willy lived his life to the fullest; he enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his children and grandchildren and traveling with his wife. He enjoyed working on home improvement projects in his home and keeping his yard beautiful.

Family: Willy is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Pat, Minot; children, Randi (Ruth) Julson, of Zap, Dawn (Dennis) Lord, Huron, S.D., Scott (Marci) Julson, Minot, and Alan (Shelly) Julson, Mexico City, Mexico; grandchildren, Randi Jr., Roman and Ruby Julson, and Mariah and Dylan Lord; sisters, Corinne Otakie, Seattle, and Marlene (Milton) Quam, Long Beach, Wash.; mother-in-law, Elnora Jones, Mandan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Willy was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Martha Julson, and father-in-law, Merle Jones.

Funeral: Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at 11 a.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the memorial book one hour prior to the service at the church. Friends may also sign the online guestbook at (www.brosefuneralhome.com) or at facebook.com/Brose Funeral Home.

Memorials: Memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church, Trinity Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
