CROSBY -- The Northwest Chorus and Orchestra Association of Crosby and Southeast Chorus Association of Estevan come together this weekend for their 39th annual presentation of Christmas music.

The theme of this year's concert is "Joy to the World." Selections range from classical to traditional to rock/pop, all with a Christmas theme.

Each year the combined group presents two Christmas concerts, one in Estevan and one in Crosby. This year the concerts are at 7 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church in Estevan, Sask., and 4 p.m. Sunday in Concordia Lutheran Church in Crosby.

Under the direction of Ed Retzer of Crosby, the group includes 53 vocalists -- 22 from Canadian towns including Estevan, North Portal and Torquay, and 31 from North Dakota locales including Bowbells, Lignite, Noonan, Crosby, Alkabo, Alamo and Zahl. There also are eight instrumentalists and two accompanists.
