Enockson, Singer highlight all-state list
GRAND FORKS - After helping lead his team to the 9-man State Championship game, Parshall-White Shield quarterback Jaren Enockson earned first-team all state honors for the 2009 season. Enockson was one of two Braves that made the list along with tight end Greg Oster, who was a second-team selection.
Senior athlete of the year for 9-man Grant Singer from Central McLean was named a first-team running back along with Wells County's Kelby Houchin. Singer's CM teammate Ryan Rauhauser was named a first-team offensive lineman, while North Star's Calvin Teubner and Dvide County's Dalyss Hanson were named first team at wide reciever on the offenive side.
St. John linebacker Tyler Bryant was named first-team defense, as was New Rockford-Sheyenne defensive back Brett Allmaras.
State semifinalist TGU had one player, Zach Thompson (defensive line) named first-team defense, while quarterback Tyler Thorson and running back Ian Keller were named on the second-team offensive list along with quarterbacks Tanner Komrosky (North Star) and Jeff Rasmussen (Washburn). Also named to the second-team from the area were Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood's Ben Keith (running back) and Ben Duben, a defensive end from Central McLean.
