BEAVER DAM, Wis. The funeral was Nov. 8 in Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, for Selma Stern, 87, Beaver Dam, formerly of the Halliday and Flaxton-Northgate areas, who died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, in her home. Burial was in Burnett Central Cemetery, Burnett, Wis.

She was born Sept. 16, 1922, to Paul and Margaretha Tafelmeyer near Northgate. She married Herbert Stern on June 4, 1946, in Jamestown.

Survivors: sons, Daniel and Kendall, both Beaver Dam, Richard, Madison, Wis., Robert, Cambridge, Wis.; daughters, Autumn Self, Amherst, Wis., Jeanne Jongebloed and Dorothy Janz,, both Beaver Dam, Sharlyne Tetzlaff, Watertown, Wis., Elaine Belanger, Withee, Wis.; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gertrude Winning, Beaver Dam, Eunice Jacobson, Williston, Rose Robinson, East Grand Forks, Minn.; brothers, Reuben, Flaxton, and David, of Clyde, Texas.
