BELCOURT Philip M. Belgarde, 72, Belcourt, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, in a Minot hospital.

He was born Oct. 31, 1937, to Philip A. and Agnes Belgarde in Belcourt. He married Frances LaFountaine on Nov. 30, 1957, in Belcourt. He enlisted in the Army in 1961. He was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Fort Sam Houston in Texas and in Korea for 13 months. He was discharged in 1963.

Survivors: wife; sons, Mark and Daniel, Belcourt; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Linus and Marlin, Belcourt; sisters, Jermaine Poitra and Beverly Parisien, Belcourt.

Funeral: Tuesday, 10 a.m., St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt,

Burial: Church cemetery.

Rosary service: Monday, 8 p.m., in the church.

Visitation: Monday, 6 p.m., in the church.
