Kevin F. Goldade, 40, of Harvey, N.D., died Thursday, November 12, 2009, of natural causes at the St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey. Funeral services will be Monday, November 16, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey. Visitation will be today, Nov. 15, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, with prayer services at the church today at 7 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Kevin Francis Goldade was born March 3, 1969, in Harvey and was the son of Peter J. and Agnes (Muscha) Goldade. He grew up there and graduated from the Harvey High School in 1987. Kevin attended Minot State University before returning to Harvey, where he was employed by Schwan's Ice Cream, Knudtson Construction, and Agriliance. He started working with the Canadian Pacific Railroad in 1997 as a conductor and was employed there until his death.

Kevin married Robin Jolene (Bobbi) Thorson on April 24, 1992, in Harvey and they made their home there. Bobbi passed away suddenly of natural causes on October 1, 2006. After Bobbi's death, Barb Knox from Harvey began helping Kevin with raising the kids and became a very important part of the family. Kevin loved life through good times and bad and made many friends along the way. Kevin's hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing and playing cards. He was an avid and sometimes loud Harvey Hornet fan. He was also a Vikings and Twins fan. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, the Wells Eagles Aerie and the United Transportation Union. He was also a former member of the Harvey Volunteer Fire Department.

Sharing in Kevin's life were: five children, Jeremy (Kimmer) Thorson of Harvey, Jacob Goldade at college in Bismarck, Karly, Hunter, and Koby Goldade at home; four grandchildren, Alexis, Madden, Tallen and Aubrey; mother, Agnes Goldade, of Harvey; brothers, Gary (Marilyn), Rugby, Cary (Cheryl), Bismarck; three sisters, Cindy (Mark) Miller, McClusky, Lori (Troy) Schimke, of Harvey, Brenda (Jamey) Weinmann, Selz; special friend, Barb Knox and her daughter Jennifer of Harvey; many nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father Pete on September 4, 2006, and his wife, Bobbi.
