NEW TOWN Ronald Emil Eugene Siira, 71, Brighton, Colo., formerly of the Van Hook-Parshall area, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, in a Denver hospital.

He was born March 9, 1938, to Arne and Elma Siira in Stanley. He joined the Army after high school graduation and served in Colorado Springs, Colo., and Korea, where he served for about two years. He was discharged in 1959. He married Diane Grimestad on Aug. 3, 1962, in New Town.

Survivors: wife; daughter, Laureen Gaspar of Colorado; three grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Mikel, Seattle, Carmen Deshneau, Gillette, Wyo.; brothers, Norman, New Town, Roger, Loveland, Colo., Richard, Anchorage, Alaska, Roy of Palmer, Alaska.
