Three Beavers earn DAC honors
Minot State University's Martel Pope was named DAC Defensive Player of the Week for his contribution to the Beav-ers' 31-21 win over South Dakota Mines last week. Pope returned a fumble 70 yards for a touchdown to get the Beavers on the board in the first quarter. Pope also had four solo tackles, five assists and a sack in helping MSU limit SDM to under 200 yards of offense.
The MSU volleyball team had two players earn weekly honors in the DAC. Former Bishop Ryan standout Molly Lundeen was named Libero of the Week. Lundeen, a senior, had 13 digs and perfect serve and serve-receive percentages in helping the Beavers to a win over Dickinson State University. Bottineau grad Abbey Aide was named Setter of the Week. Aide, a freshman, had 30 assists and 10 digs as the Beavers swept the Bluehawks last week.
