RUGBY Raymond Selmer Halvorson, 81, Rugby, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, in a Rugby hospital.

He was born Dec. 15, 1927, to Fredrick and Anne Marie Halvorson in Rugby. He enlisted in the Army Oct. 3, 1946, served in Japan, and was discharged Feb. 9, 1948. He married Marion Anderson Sept. 7, 1952, in Rugby.

Survivors: wife; son, Rodney, Rugby; daughter, Margo Lind, Lake Nebagamon, Wis.; three grandchildren.

Funeral: Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., Bethany Lutheran Church, Rugby.

Burial: Persilla Watts Cemetery, Rugby.

Prayer service and sharing of memories: Today, 7 p.m., Anderson Funeral Home, Rugby.

Visitation: Today, 5 to 7 p.m., in the funeral home.
