MINNEWAUKAN Freeman Victor Westrum, 92, Rugby, formerly of Maddock, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, in a Rugby nursing home.

He was born Nov. 16, 1916, to Alfred and Magda Westrum near Maddock. He served in the Army from March 31, 1942, to March 30, 1946. He married Eileen Thompson July 3, 1953, in Leeds.

Survivors: wife; brother, Wesley, Cheney, Wash.

Funeral: Today, 2 p.m., St. Olaf Lutheran Church, rural Minnewaukan.

Burial: Church cemetery.
