Work on city streets continues

Work on the following construction projects in the City of Minot will continue this week.

Expect lane closures and delays for reconstruction of the intersection of 16th Street Southwest and Burdick Expressway.

Reconstruction will close 20th Avenue Southeast between Second Street and Sixth Street. Detours will be in place and access will be provided for businesses in the area.

Sixth Street Southwest from Second Avenue to Burdick Expressway will be closed Friday morning for street repair.

Drivers may experience traffic interruptions in the area of 13th Street Northeast and Railway Avenue because of construction.

Drivers should use caution at Waterplant Road and 16th Street Southwest because of work on the high service pump station.

Motorists should use caution on Third Street Northeast and 31st Avenue Southwest due to curb and gutter construction.

Drivers may experience traffic interruptions on 21st Avenue Northwest from North Broadway to the soccer complex due to path installation.

Expect road closures and delays on Ninth Street Northwest between 11th Street and 12th Street due to water main replacement.

Expect road closures and delays on 18th Street Northwest between Second Avenue and Central Avenue due to water main replacement.

The 2009 seal coat project covers an area from Fourth Avenue Northeast to 13th Avenue Northeast and from North Broadway to Third Street Northeast. Residents will encounter concrete work, street patching and fresh oil.

Chip seal work will be in the following areas: 31st Avenue Southeast from 13th Street to South Broadway; 11th Avenue Southeast from South Broadway to Hiawatha Street; 27th Street East from Railway Avenue to East Burdick Expressway; Third Street Northeast from Hillcrest Drive to Fifth Avenue Northeast; 21st Avenue Northwest from 16th Street to the U.S. Highway 83 Bypass North.
