Ben Herauf hit a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning and finished 4 for 4 with seven runs batted in to lead Dickinson to a 13-9 win over Fargo in the championship game of the American Legion Baseball Class A State Tournament Sunday in Wahpeton.
Fargo tied the game at nine all with a two-run eighth before watching it all slip away thanks to the late-inning heroics of Herauf, who was named the tournament's most valuable player for the second-straight year.
Stephen Laylock relieved starter Tyler Steffan in the seventh inning and picked up the win on the mound for Dickinson, which outhit Fargo 11-9, but made six errors to Fargo's four.

Peters finished 2 for 4 with three RBIs, while Eric Seiler had four runs scored.
Starter Eric Jagim was charged with the loss for Fargo, which got two hits apiece from Kyle Kingsley and David Ernst.
