STARKWEATHER Martha Linda Marie Blake, 98, Devils Lake, formerly of the Starkweather and Cando-Egeland areas, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, in a Devils Lake nursing home.

She was born May 15, 1911, to John and Caroline Schumacher near Egeland. She married Ernest Blake Oct. 18, 1935, in Devils Lake.

Survivors: sons, Lavern, Starkweather, Rudy, Mead, Wash.; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Thursday, 10:30 a.m., Trinity-Bergen Lutheran Church, Starkweather.

Burial: Trinity-Bergen Cemetery, rural Starkweather.

Prayer service: Today, 7 p.m., in Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake.

Visitation: Today, 2 to 7 p.m., in the funeral home, and Thursday, one hour prior to the service, in the church.
