Elizabeth Schneider

Elizabeth Schneider, 79, of Harvey, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the St. Aloisius Hospital of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Selz on Tuesday, July 21, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Monday, July 20, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Prayer services will be held at the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Selz on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be held at the church cemetery.

Elizabeth was born March 15, 1930 near Orrin. She was the daughter of George and Theresa (Kuntz) Bachmeier. As young child she grew up and attended school near Orrin. Betty married Ambrose Schneider on November 6, 1951 in Fulda, ND. They made their home on the Schneider family farm north of Selz where they raised seven daughters. They retired from farming and moved to Harvey in the fall of 2000. Betty was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Selz and Christian Mothers.

Betty is survived by her husband, Ambrose of Harvey; six daughters, Linda Schneider and special friend Jim Koch of Jamestown, Geri and (Bob) Stephan of Fingal, ND, Elaine (Gerald) Koble of Anamoose, Diane (Ken) Streifel of Esmond, Jackie (Doug) Wolfe of Selz, Laurie Bredeson, Andover, MN; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, August (Caroline) Bachmeier, Sumner, WA, Ann (Steve) Selzler of Harvey, Mary Held of Harvey, Phyllis (Leonard) Bickler, Monroe, WA, Helen (Pat) Wienicke of Portland, OR, Carol (Pete) Dresser, Cordova, TN, Nick (Arlene) Bachmeier, Orrin, ND.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert; daughter, Judy; and sister, Cecilia Heilman.
