Paulette (Hagen) Goff
Oct. 26, 1947-June 25, 2009Paulette (Hagen) Goff, age 61, of Crosby, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Minot, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Crosby with Father Biju Chitteth as Celebrant. Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday (today) at Stakston-Martin Funeral Home with a Vigil/Rosary at 7 p.m. at the church. Visitation will also be one hour before the service at the church.
Paulette was born to Melvin and Dorothy (Thon) Hagen in Noonan, ND, October 26, 1947. She attended Noonan schools and was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Paulette was united in marriage to Don Goff Jr. of Plentywood, MT, on November 9, 1968. At that time she became a member of the Catholic Church. They made their home in Williston until 1997 and have since made their home in Crosby. They spent this past winter in Casa Grande, AZ.
Paulette and Don were true soul mates and celebrated their 40th Anniversary last year. Her life revolved around her husband, children, grandkids, and her family and friends. She always put others before herself and enjoyed visiting with her friends and family, in person or on the phone. She loved to bake and always made sure the cookie jar was full. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, camping, bingo, and trips to the casino.
She is survived by husband, Don; son Jamie, of Eagan, MN; daughter, Kim (Randy) Olson and grandchildren, Cody and Ciarra, all of Crosby; sisters, Joann Heltemes of Wadena, MN, Mavis (Terry) Olson, Darlene (Robert) Kroshus, both of Crosby; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Mary Goff; aunts, Mildred Hagen and Evie Hagen; special uncle, Ernest Hagen; and many special cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Janet Hauck; nephews, Craig and Brent Olson; and niece, Rachelle Olson; father-in-law, Donavon Goff Sr.; stepfather, Art Espeseth; and brother-in-law, Gib Heltemes.
Stakston-Martin Funeral Home of Crosby is in charge of arrangements.
