Laurence and Lenore Scheresky, Des Lacs, will celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary and Laurence's 80th birthday at an open house Sunday, June 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Scheresky farm, four miles south of Des Lacs. Their children and their families will host the event.
Laurence Scheresky and Lenore Hines were married June 24, 1953, in Loyalton, S.D. He farms south of Des Lacs and she is a registered nurse in Minot. They have four children, Kathy Kopp, Des Lacs, Kari Shea, Dickinson, Kim Danner, Omaha, Neb., and Barry Scheresky, Des Lacs, and six grandchildren.
