Vehicle crash injures two
POSTED: June 1, 2009
RUGBY Two people were hospitalized after their vehicle went off the road near Rugby Saturday night, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The driver of the vehicle, Bobby Gene Olson, 43, of Leeds, and passenger Shareen Roberts, 40, Oberon, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were admitted to the Rugby hospital for observation, the Patrol reported.
Olson was eastbound from Rugby on a gravel road about 12 miles west of Harlow at about 11:30 p.m. when his SUV went into the ditch and struck an approach. Neither Olson nor Roberts were wearing seat belts, according to the Patrol. Olson was ejected. He went to a nearby residence to report the accident.
Olson was cited for driving under the influence.
