Authorities recovered the body of Ryan Luke Eback, 27, Wednesday from the Mouse River in Minot.
Eback was stopped by a North Dakota Highway Patrol officer near the 1100 block of Railway Avenue around 1 a.m. on April 16 when the Minot man suddenly fled on foot. After crossing the railroad tracks in that area, Eback jumped into the swollen river and an officer saw him go below the surface. A search had been under way since that time.
The body was recovered at 15th Street and Third Avenue Southeast, across the river from the southeastern corner of Roosevelt Park Zoo and near the cofferdam.
