Their parents are Bryan and Janel Schiele, Minot, and Dean and Maria Christensen of South Dakota and James and Diana Shackelford, Burlington.

The couple lives in Minot, where they are students at Minot State University. The bride is employed at the Minot State University Alumni Office and the bridegroom is employed by FedEx.
