Dagny Ferm
Sept. 17, 1928-Jan. 29, 2009Dagny O. Ferm, 80, Minot, formerly of Bowbells, passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in a Minot hospital.
Dagny Lindberg was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Columbus, a daughter of Martin and Gunda (Kinsbeck) Lindberg. She was raised and educated in the Columbus and Bowbells areas.
Dagny married Walter Ferm March 27, 1946, in Montana. They made their home in Bowbells. Walter passed away Aug. 13, 1988. Following his death she moved to Minot.
She enjoyed having family and friends over for a good game of pinochle and lunch. In her earlier years she loved bowling and dancing. While living in Minot one of her pastimes was playing bingo. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and in recent years enjoyed following her great-grandchildren and their sporting events.
Those who shared in her life: companion, Dean Olson; children, Danny (Connie) Ferm, Brenda Peterson and Steven Ferm and his companion, Peggy Smith, all of Minot; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Cheryl (Brent) Miller, Donnybrook, and their children, Kayla, Kelsey, Kendra and Kortni; Darla (Chad) Schweitzer, Berthold, and their children, Ryan and Lacey; Dee Ann (Gerald) Skalsky, Beulah, and her children, Chase, Chandler and Chelsea; Christy (Lance Geigle) Anderson, Mandan, and her children, Sabrina, Shelby and Nikyla; Joy (Travis) Lucy, Bowbells, and their children, TJ and Jackson; Todd (Amber) Ferm, Minot, and their son, Nathan; Kory (Holly) Peterson of Pfafftown, N.C.; Audrey Sutter, Jessica Smith and Arthur Smith; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Lindberg of California, and Delores (Harley) Durward, Bismarck; brother-in-law, Gerald Ferm of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.
Dagny was preceded in death by her husband, Wally; infant daughter; her parents; brothers, Emil and Gilbert; sisters, Clara and Edna; brothers-in-law Bertil and Orvald.
Funeral: Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bowbells.
Visitation: Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, and Tuesday one hour prior to the service in the church.
Burial: Bowbells Cemetery, Bowbells, in the spring.
