Tony Koschney

Tony Koschney, 63, Minot, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Anthony A. "Tony" Koschney was born Nov. 20, 1944, a son of Joseph and Anna M. (Zupon) Koschney in Richland County, rural Cayuga. He was raised and educated in the Cayuga area. He graduated from Forman High School, Forman.

Tony enlisted in the U.S. Army Dec. 12, 1962. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Germany for most of his term. He was honorably discharged Nov. 30, 1968.

He had one son, Brian, from his first marriage, whom he thoroughly enjoyed.

Tony married Beverly "Bev" (Latzke) Wilson Nov. 19, 1983, in Minneapolis. They resided in Plymouth, Minn., until August 1999, when they moved to Minot.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. He enjoyed wood carving, bird watching and gardening.

Tony's family would like to express their gratitude to Trinity Hospice for their care, support and many prayers.

Surviving family includes: wife, Bev, Minot; mother, Anna Koschney, Woonsocket, S.D.; children, Susan Wilson, Minot, and Michael Wilson, Minneapolis; five grandchildren, Heather Brown, Minneapolis, Breanne (Evan) Hankel, Fargo, Hannah, Carma and Bowen Koschney; three sisters, Linda (Wally) Fechtner, Maggie (Gordon) Johnsrud, both of Minnesota, and Betty (Willard) Haef, of North Dakota; brother, Phil (Dot) Koschney, Huron, S.D.; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Roger) Laabs, and brother-in-law, Myron Latzke, both of Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tony was preceded in death by his father; son, Brian Koschney; brother, Joseph "Joe" Koschney; sister, Theresa "Terry" Koschney; and sister-in-law, Sharon Latzke.

Funeral: Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
