Halloween treats for the troops
This Halloween, trick-or-treaters can bring their excess candy on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to Souris Valley Dental Group in Minot at 1300-37th Ave. SW, and receive $1 per pound.
Souris Valley Dental is leading the anti-decay movement by giving away money and glowing electric toothbrushes in exchange for cavity-provoking candy.
All of the treats collected will then be sent to military troops serving this country overseas. Kids are also invited to include a note or card of thanks to send with the candy.
Visiting your dentist twice a year and brushing daily are great preventative measures, but doing away with excess sweets altogether would really give your teeth a healthy boost, according to the doctors and staff at Souris Valley Dental.
The candy brought to Souris Valley Dental Group must not be opened.
