September 13, 2008
Minot Daily News

A Dunseith woman was found guilty Thursday of an assault that resulted in the death of a woman in 2007.

A press release from United States Attorney Drew H. Wrigley states Chelsey P. Amyotte, 18, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and assault resulting in serious bodily injury. The press release indicates Amyott and co-defendant Justin R. Beston, 28, also of Dunseith, argued with and assaulted 49-year-old Danielle Baker in East Dunseith Housing Nov. 4, 2007, striking the victim in the head and face with their fists. Baker died as a result of the assault.

Beston pleaded guilty to second degree murder on Aug. 28.

Sentencing for Amyotte and Beston has been scheduled for Dec. 1 in United States District Court in Minot.
