Olinda Bergan
July 6, 1925-July 18, 2008Olinda Bergan, 83, Garrison, ND, died Friday, July 18, 2008, in a Garrison hospital. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Garrison. Cremation will take place and her final resting place will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery at Roseglen, ND.
Olinda Wahl Bergan was born July 6, 1925, at Lincoln Valley, McLean County, ND, to William and Lydia Wahl. She grew up and was educated at Roseglen. She worked as a cook at various places including White Shield School and Minot State Teachers College. She married Joseph Bergan at Sidney, MT, on June 8, 1942.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis (Larry) Christopherson, Snohomish, WA, Diane (Larry) Mikkelson, Garrison, Richard (Joani) Bergan, Roseglen, daughter-in-law, Sue Bergan, Austin, TX; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 2 sisters, Ella Solie, Missoula, MT, and Viola Orroino, Spokane, WA; one brother, Leo Wahl, Spokane.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; son, Phil Bergan; brothers, Otto Wahl, Reinhard Wahl, Sam Wahl, Glenn Wahl; sisters, Leoma Olson, Edna Arlt and Eldena Walker. (Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison)
