Agnes Olson

April 20, 1917-May 22, 2008


Agnes Olson, age 91, of Crosby, ND, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2008, at Peace Lutheran Church in rural Crosby, with Pastor Ron Dahle officiating. Burial will follow at Troy Cemetery at the church. Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Stakston-Martin Funeral Home in Crosby and also one hour before the service at the church.

Agnes was born on April 20, 1917, the daughter of Pedar and Eline (Olsen) Hagen, in Ambrose, ND, where she grew up and attended Ambrose Public School.

On February 14, 1935, she married Bertil C. Olson in Crosby. Agnes continued to reside on the family farm until October 2003 when she entered the Kenmare Baptist Home in Kenmare.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the church Ladies Aid and served the community of Troy Township and surrounding area for many years. Agnes enjoyed gardening, sewing, doing word search puzzles and playing bingo with her friends at the Baptist Home.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant twins, great-grandson and all her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by: two sons, Burton Olson and wife Judy of Crosby and Robert Olson and wife Nola of Bismarck; four daughters, Irene Gibson and husband Paul of Colorado Springs, CO, Marilyn Nelson and husband Berndean of Bowbells, Carilyn Haagenson and husband Warren of West Fargo and Beverly Dilley and husband Danny of Edmond, OK; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Stakston-Martin Funeral Home of Crosby is in charge of arrangements.
