Robert Benton, 56, Minot, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008, in a Minot hospital.
Robert Francis Benton was born April 9, 1952, the son of John and Elaine (Oothoudt) Benton in Minot. He was raised and educated in Minot.
Rob was a self-employed carpenter and handyman. He was a soft-hearted man who enjoyed country music, cooking and most of all tinkering in his workshop. He will be sincerely missed.
Surviving family includes: sisters, Rebecca (Roger) Luck, Minot, Debi Benton, Wilmington, Del.; brother-in-law, George Gladysz, New York; many nieces and nephews; his loving partner, Sherri Presscot, Minot; and many, many loving friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Jack, and infant brother, Gary.
Funeral: Today (Monday, May 12, 2008) at 3 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Today (Monday) from 10 a.m. to service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bread of Life Lutheran Church in Minot.
