Call me crazy, but the gentleman in the article doesn't want his kids playing in the dust? Here's an idea...don't live in the country.

I live in Minot. I have neighbors on all 4 sides of my home. There is NO CHANCE a gravel pit will be put next to my house. But, if I lived in the country and had lots and lots of land surrounding my place that I didn't own, well, then there might be a chance that something came in that I didn't like. And you know what, I'd have to live with it. I may not like it, but I sure as heck wouldn't go whining to a government entity complaining about dust. Seriously.

I have become progressively disappointed in the people in our community who complain about EVERYTHING. Traffic and dust?! Are you kidding me? Living in the country in a community that is growing way beyond anyone's wildest dreams and now we've come to the point where we don't want our kids in too much dust.

I don't get it.

Let's just keep ruining South Minot residents' lives and keep flooding our basements, having drag strips with no limitations on vehicles, no courtesy of all the traffic and so forth...damn the commission...

What a bunch of pathetic whiners. If progressive socialists were in charge they would stop building roads, set up bus routes for a couple years, raise taxes on everyone else to pay for it, then cut service and spend the money on welfare

Obviously not one "minot planning commission" member lives over in this area, based on the 11-0 vote. The "kid" that got killed in the pit years ago was my relative. There are now houses over the site. More respect please!?

Pretty sad when those dead in the ground for years get more courtesy than those alive and paying taxes.

Gravel products are jerks and they are going to turn a nice area were schools and homes are into a gravel pit. They is going to be noise, dust and big trucks driving in a area were $100,000 homes area and kids playing. Rebecca hill is a $&@/$ and thinks they can put a gravel pit anywhere they want. Hay lets put a gravel pit in the old oak park shopping center or by bell air school area were that kid died many years ago in a gravel pit. They are going to build there gravel pit and kids are going to go play over there and get hurt or killed I hope they sue the*****out of gravel products and win with schools and homes near by there are going to be kids going over to play in a gravel pit. That kid got killed near 28th st and central ave NW he was killed playing in a gravel/ rock pit.
