"""Well, Jackie, it's probably because that's the way the law was written. Medicare was intended for retired people, so the main "pre existing exclusion" is that if you are under 65 years old, you are denied coverage. The fix for that is really simple. Just get rid of the eligibility age "pre existing exclusion" and allow everyone to be covered. But that would be moving forword, and we and our Republic party need to move backword to the good old days of Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh."""

No wonder it's called 'HAHA-InTheHead Thinking'...

Lots of kindness in that last post, billgrr.

Plus, what should we say about polls? If the wind changes, so do polls.

Convenient for you that there are some polls to cite that line up with your viewpoint. Are there any others that don't line up?

Republicans have become such jackals. They don't care one whit about this country or it's people.

All they care about is their stupid political war against Democrats.

That party is a dangerous. They need to be put down.

So then, when the President declares that the insurance companies CAN still offer the "old plans" or "junk plans" or whatever one wishes to call them, those companies must be thinking, "Make up your mind!" or something like that.

Is it a law or isn't it a law? When Republicans first tried to repeal it, then libs cried, "It's the law of the land! You can't do that!" When Pres. Obama made his seemingly unilateral decisions to delay implementation of several specific deadlines in the law, then libs cried, "It's just the executive branch doing its thing! What's your problem?"

Either it's a law, duly enacted, passed, signed and executed, or it's just a wish list put into place whenever it suits Democrat political expediency.

Why would this be hard to understand?

Even if it's still "corporate insurance pigs" as HAetc says, the insurance companies did comply with the (many, many, many) provisions of ACA. If they wanted to be in business, they had to. It's kind of a DUH.

"Obama didn't kick anyone off their insurance. The corporate insurance pigs did that by not complying with the law."

OK, HAetc, let's try this again.

Before ACA: insurance companies set up what they were going to cover, at what price, within insurance regulation guidelines.

After ACA: insurance companies were mandated as to what they were to cover (many generals, less specifics in policies), and how they were to cover (pre-existing conditions). The ins companies HAD to change their offerings in order to comply with ACA, otherwise there's penalties for them that didn't exist before ACA's passage. (Laws usually dictate what's what, then prescribe a penalty for those who scoff. Witness the individual mandate: comply or be fined.) Now as to price: that hasn't been mandated, right? So Pres. Obama's promise to all that all would save $2500 (price) was untrue, because price hadn't been mandated.

HAHA-InTheHead.....just why DOES Medicare have pre-existing exclusions?

Even Medicare DOES have exclusions for pre-existing conditions......I can't wait to see how many more exclusions will be added once we ALL are on 'Medicare'......but at least we would be moving forword if ALL were on any of the 'Medi's'...

But I am sure Omama will move us forword by signing an Executive Order mandating Medicare to cover everything....including maternity care....and diabetes....

This is nothing more than fond wishes and hopes. How could something "conservative-based" ever be good in HAetc's eyes? Because Democrats passed it? Oh, now I see...

Well, missy, I really did not get your point either. It is not news that you vote Republican and kept your health insurance. After all, you "could" keep your coverage especially after they took off the limits and added a few other things. So, your sister has cancer and is a Democrat. Did she keep her insurance? Did she have insurance? If she did not have insurance, she could get insurance under the ACA, right? Did she do that? So, back to the original question. What is your point?

June 1985: "When Reagan asked the crowd whether millionaires should be paying more or less in taxes than a bus driver, the crowd resoundingly responded “more!” Reagan also told an Illinois crowd about a letter he had received from a man who said that tax loopholes allowed him to pay a lower tax rate than his secretary. “He wrote me the letter to tell me he’d like to come to Washington and testify before Congress as to how that’s possible for him to do and why it is wrong,” Reagan said.?

But when President Obama says the same thing they freak out!

Said another way would u rather have to have medical ins. or get deployed to iraq? LS: Obama did not cancel ins. policies; insurance companies did and he was not a liar when he said it--only after the cancellations. Our plans r revised most every year but instead of revising junk plans up to the ACA standard; they cancelled those plans. If u see nothing wrong with a junk ins. plan--let me sell u an eco-boost that won't accelerate or a car ignition that turns the engine off. Bad is bad by any measure.

"Tell all Democrats to be loud and proud and run on this for the election. Now will they or won't they? Might not be as popular as the lefty propagandists tell us it is..."

"Well, that cuts both ways."

Indeed it does! Fox show host Chris Wallace advising Republicans not to blow their horn so loud until they have a viable Obamacare alternative.

Not only is it almost impossible legislatively to appeal Obamacare, there's a steady decrease in the public's concern on the issue. What is seemingly trumping all the hype is to what length the GOP has undertaken to sabotage the new law. This is NOT viewed favorable among many voters and will play a factor in 2014 midterms.....
