There are problems all over Minot with the standing water issue including Puppy Dog Coulee...it's time the water board steps up and does something about it.......

I wonder....was this a slough before it was made into a housing area? Our son unknowingly bought a home in West Fargo that was built on a slough. He had nothing but water problems till he moved. Not enough thought is given to where homes are built, including along the Mouse river. We moved to our home 38 yrs ago to escape the flood plain. Well, we flooded anyway. Mostly thanks to the huge*****across Broadway.

Our "civic leaders" want to build an event center in the flood zone. R u getting the idea how wasteful and ignorant that is? Some people must think they r bigger than water.

Record the high water mark and make sure no one builds below it. It should come from the hide of the private or public party who is responsible for allowing construction of a septic tank in a flood path.

Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy would be a good place to start. As far as the rest Good Luck. If they don't live there it's not a high priority on their List............
