I agree with you Sandra, I have been in two similar situations where the cops did not slow down and yield to me when there wasn't an emergency and another time they were going so fast they almost slid into me on ice.

The police do need to be RSPECTful that there are other drivers on the road when responding to emergencies, and drive with RSPECT to avoid having any additional accidents.

Sandra, I agree with you. The police, when responding to an emergency use the lights and siren to notify other people that they are requesting the right of way and this in no means authorizes the police to drive in a reckless fashion putting other peoples lives in danger. This policeman violated required rules while responding and was appropriately charged.
