The legacy of current nd state and national republicans: they continually set ridiculously low goals 4 themselves and then fail to achieve those.

Who needs wildlife when we have a members only restaurant 4 williston? They flaunt their greed as they deface the badlands--and much of it for export of a precious resource.

Sadly I think Richard answered his own question. I think it's short term management more about money than long term management about wildlife conservation.

I have Pheasant, Grouse, White Tail, Mule deer, don't see that many antelope in our area. White Horn Owls once in a while. Last year 3 cow moose, this year 3 cows and a Bull Moose. I don't hunt but allow legal hunters if they call and check in to see where they can hunt. The Grain Bins the farmer have overflow have serve the Pheasants well. apparently the left over hay have served the deer well. Also, the water well I run through the winter. They eat, drink, and move on. No snow helps too. That is what I have observed. Again I don't Hunt and I took my land out of CRP, too many rules.

Much of our hunted wildlife like deer will search out a place where they r not disturbed and hunters have no chance at them. Then they often become a nuisance and attract complaints. One of the biggest problems with managing wildlife such as deer r landowners who insist on having their own wildlife refuge without any management.

A few springs back, there were 300 to 500 deer around the Lake darling Dam. By fall hunters reported very low deer numbers. Where did that herd go?
