they were fighting over this land long before we ever got here and won so it is the white mans land and we did pay for it many times over, some people just need a cause to talk about

Go In Peace, Heads? They took your land away? You make no sense to me. I live and have lived in ND for many years. 60 to be exact. My father lived here 86 years, my Grand-mother lived here 65 years. 3 generations. What is your trouble in life. You think they had it easy? What land did you loose?

Go in Peace, I agree. No more free stuff for anyone. Food Stamps, Housing, Welfare, unemployment checks that are unending. If you are cutting off Free Stuff, cut it all out. No exceptions.

Great. So now all the lots at Van Hook that people have been leasing from the Corps since the late 70s will be turned over to the tribe? I wonder how much they'll decide to charge those people for the land or if they'll just outright seize it from the people who have spent decades making the area what it is today. The government basically took that land from my ancestors when they decided to build the****and create Lake Sakakawea, and we've been redeveloping their homestead since 1977 when the Corps opened the area back up to recreation. My great grandfather owned the land, my grandfather was able to lease it back, and now my parents live there full time. Maybe they should sell the place to an oil worker just to get out while they can before Van Hook has a casino, hotel and a worthless yacht.

It's time now to cut off all government support to all Indian tribes. If you want to be a separate nation, then be a separation without government support.

this is going to do nothing more than drive a bigger wedge between native and non-natives. I cannot imagine why anybody would want to do that. Unless it has to do with money. Which it appears it does.
