Debt limit concerns continue

February 21, 2014

How would you react if your bank gave you an open-ended credit limit — and assured you that within a year or so, no matter how much you had borrowed in the interim, it would be increased? Banks......

To continue your thought, billgrr...

Which does more to help Americans: food, or continuing to fight a war in Afghanistan halfway around the world?

"Vice President Cheney of one of the architects if the worst foreign policy disaster of the 21st century," Major General Paul Eaton said. "We're young, but the decision to attack Iraq, and to do so in such an incompetent manner, does not give him a platform to say anything about the foreign policy under execution today."

"Vice President Cheney is who he is. It's unfortunate that he has not followed the guidance and the model of his former boss, President Bush, and gone off quietly to write his memoir," Eaton also said.

Hmmmm... feeding people versus funding a military already larger than the next top 15 military spending countries, 14 of which are our allies.

I'd go with feeding the hungry, but that's just me.

We could cut our military in half and still have the strongest military force on the planet.

I remember someone saying that Spiro Agnew was thanking Cheney from the grave for replacing him as America's most reviled VP.

Obama and Carter have NOTHING to worry about.

Historians know who the worst one was/is....His name is little Georgy Bush.

Has Cheney been right about anything since the 80s? He has been woefully wrong on every prediction I have heard him make since the beginning of the Bush Presidency so I would consider his and landslide14"s criticism to be confirmation that the President is doing the right thing.

Dick Cheney states President Barack Obama "would much rather spend the money on food stamps than he would on a strong military or support for our troops."

This from a man who got five deferrments from the draft while many in his generation didn't have that luxury. This from a man who said "I had better things to do" about serving in Vietnam. This from a man whose former employer received a no-bid contract that scammed BILLIONS from taxpayers. This man, like so many wingers has no conscience or credibility...

HAetc, you've proved your partisan nature again.

Even a flawed Democrat candidate is so much better than any Republican candidate.

It's a given that dyed-in-the-wool libs will never vote for a Republican. Why the charade in asking what candidate will the Republicans run? To get the jump on completely assassinating his/her character, which is the #1 play for Democrats? (Hint: Christie, the supposed frontrunner)

billgrr: "You'd love her if she was a Republican wouldn't you. Hypocrite!"

Uh, no. I wouldn't respect her, because she has turned her head when her man was behaving badly toward other women. Perhaps she's berated him in private, I don't know, but this stuff has been in the public eye for years, and Pres. Clinton has seemingly gotten away with it, by her silence and the standing-by-her-man thing.

As far as her not being a liberal, why then do you love her so? I'm sorry to point out foibles of Democrat favorites, but haven't you been doing that job forever concerning all things Republican?

Relax, billgrr. It's just equal time.

Wake up landslide14! Today's army is not the same army you avoided serving in. Never again will we need a large number of troops to wage war. Do you think we're going to meet China on a open field and engage in hand to hand combat?

Those 2 little wars that that child Bush started were nothing but a gift to the military industrial complex. A total waste of our blood and treasure.

Congress has authorized almost half-a-billion dollars over two years to build Abrams tanks for the Army. But the Army has said it currently doesn’t need any tanks, and the money would be better used elsewhere.

A dozen nearly new C-27J Spartans from Ohio and elsewhere have already been taken out of service and shipped to the so-called boneyard at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson. Five more are expected to be built by April 2014, all of which are headed to the boneyard unless another use for them is found.

We already spend more money on military than the rest of the world combined.

More Democrat war on women stuff from the wayback machine...

"What you have is Mitt Romney running around the country saying 'Well, you know, my wife tells me that what women really care about are economic issues, and when I listen to my wife, that's what I'm hearing.' Guess what? His wife has actually never worked a day in her life." DNC and Obama adviser Hilary Rosen attacking motherhood

"Well, I haven't seen the records. I haven't seen Hilary Rosen; I personally know three Hilary Rosen's, so I don't know that this Hilary Rosen is the one we're talking about." White House Press Secretary Jay Carney blatantly lying to reporters

Yeah, I see billgrr knows how to play the Deflect-O-Rama game too.

Does any Democrat care to speak about the Democrat war on women, as Kathleen Willey related it today?

Does any Democrat care to defend the actions of several male Democrat public officials and their harassment of females?

Does any Democrat, who thinks Hillary Clinton is going to wipe the floor with any Republican, care to address what she has thought and said about her husband's "lapses" of the past?

Virginia State Sen. Steve Martin (R) says: "A pregnant woman is just a "host" that should not have the right to end her pregnancy"

Jack Burkman, A Republican lobbyist is preparing legislation that would ban gay athletes from playing in the National Football League.

Can someone from the Right remind me again why you think you're going to win any future elections?

How's that rebranding effort going?

Are American citizens flocking to this message?

landslide, you are nothing but an offensive, immature, ignorant person. Who makes comments like the one you made about the food pantry? I'm realllly tired of the same old song from those of you who associate yourselves with the Republican party. Liberals are over-educated, anything goes welfare queens. Facts mean nothing to any of you. Which states take the most federal money? That's right, Republican voting states. Seems like you should be thanking the liberals for keeping welfare alive and well. voices. washingtonpost****/ezra-klein/2010/04/ the_red_state_ripoff.html
