Monitor new policy changes

February 11, 2014

Allowing immigrants with links to terrorists to stay in the United States makes no sense. We have plenty of applicants for entry who revere this country without giving breaks to those who do not....

Fair enough, billgrr. Now, on to how those 2 million adults will pay for their health insurance? Subsidies?

centerish: "How many on this blog use a credit card of some kind? For those of you who do, when you get your bill, do you pay it???? Well, the House is where "ALL" spending bills originate. Thus, the debt ceiling is to "pay" for all the spending that "the House and Senate" has already spent. It does not authorize more spending. Get a life wingers."

And wonder of wonders, there happened to be some Democrats in the House over the years who voted to spend money, along with Republicans. Bipartisan deficit spending, y'all!

I only say this with the degree of respect that centerish intends: get a life, left-wingers.

"The CBO, the non-partisan budget referee, said the deficit will fall to $378 billion by 2015 with no congressional action."

Yep, read that report. Is that also the same CBO that found that "(more) than 2 million Americans who would otherwise rely on a job for health insurance will quit working, reduce their hours or stop looking for employment because of new health benefits available under the Affordable Care Act?"

The administration spun this news as a good thing; others said this news wasn't a good thing.

Analysis scham-nalysis. Is there any true non-partisan organization in Washington DC anymore? I'm too cynical to hope for it.

I heard that there was another Grand Jury convened with subpoenas being handed out to another Republican governor and his staff. Well, well, what was this cover up? How about protecting a coal company from harming the enviorment???? oops, too late. They should have stuck to suppressing the vote.

WA Post 12-19-13

"The Obama administration deported about 369,000 undocumented immigrants during fiscal year 2013, a 10 percent drop from last year when a record 410,000 were removed from the country, according to new statistics from the Department of Homeland Security.

"The annual number of deportations have been closely watched by both immigration proponents and those opposed to relaxing rules for people who have come across the border illegally, and the new figures are likely to provoke debate as the White House and congressional Democrats, along with some Republicans, continue to push for an overhaul to immigration laws."

Was talking to him last night and he didn't seem to be feeling much different than usual. The flu bug has been hitting us all pretty hard this winter.

I do not like war. I find it barbaric as well as murder, rape, etc. However, terrorists and criminals do not agree with me. Now, our country had been hit at least three times under Clinton, with NO repercussions. Where was Clinton? under the table with Lewinsky while at the same time cutting defense budget. When did Obama start going to his morning meetings? He found them to be boring and a waste of his time--his words, not mine. Now, I don't post daily about him, but honorable is NOt a word I would use to describe Obama. An honorable man would take his actions to a very high standard, not rewrite any law at any time that he didn't like it. However, we have to give him credit for attempting to fix the horrendous piece of legislation passed by the democrats. He did approve of suing the state of AZ for attempting to implement the laws of the land that were being ignored by the feds. Why hasn't Obama written an executive order to complete the border along Mexico?

We need to show more sympathy for these people. They travel miles in the heat. They risk their lives crossing a border.

They don't get paid enough wages. They do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do. They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language.

They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day ~ every day.

I'm not talking about illegal terriorists ~ I'm talking about our troops!

Truth bears repeating whether it is orginal or reprinted.

Not one scintilla of original thought comes from willgarr. It's all copy and paste. Always has been always will be.

You'll laugh too at this one;

"I, Barrack Hussein Obama, pledge to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America."

Allowing those who use the USA for great wealth and then hide it overseas to avoid U.S. taxes; makes no sense either. A patriot would not do that. Nor would one bash a president for politics sake.

"No one with any connection whatsoever to an organization or individual advocating violence should be allowed to come to the United States, however."

And yet plenty of people who fit that description are born and raised right here in the good ol' US of A.

The phrase "immigrants with links to terrorists" is too broad and too vague. We need to refine our definitions.

Also, I get the sense that this "editorial" is printed to fan flames of hatred toward our president. Typical of the MDN...

this does not seem believable. After checking the most recent news releases for immigration policy changes, I could find only a change to stop deportation of family members of armed forces if they are here illegally. Maybe it will take a while for the rest of the credible news sources to catch up to the MDN.
