Does he believe himself?

February 7, 2014

Sometimes we wonder if President Barack Obama actually listens to some of his own comments. More often, we wonder if Obama actually believes what he says....

Have no fear, willgrr fans. His habit of resurfacing will no doubt prevail again.

The drama will continue...

No flag pins? Strange handshake? Secessionists? Economic recovery or lack thereof? Stabbing women in the back?

willgrr, are you posting, or are you writing the next cheap detective mystery novel aka noir paperback?

The drama will continue...

Jack, don't get too close to Killary as a lot of men did and a lot of them died.

If you must go, be armed and ready for Craig Livingstone will be hiding behind the door ready to pounce. Avoid your little tryst at Marcy Park too.

If you accept this Mission Jack, report back to us often when not undercover. hmmm.

If you consider it absolutely necessary, willgrr, and we'll never hear the end of it EVER if you do, I'll say you can knock yourself out.

As far as getting on board with you, I don't think there's enough board there, what with the inflatable vocabulary you use, especially against conservative women. Y'know, I just don't belong there...

Uh, willgrr, sorry to interrupt your triumphant salivating at finding a Republican incorrect, but did you notice this at Salon?

"Update 2/10/14 3:20 p.m. : Right Wing News is now claiming that their initial transcription of this part of Walker’s interview was incorrect and that Walker never claimed to have voted for Reagan. “All I can do at this point is apologize for the error,” writes John Hawkins of Right Wing News. “This was our mistake and it was very unfair to Scott Walker who is catching flack because of an honest error on our part.”"

Your nemesis (any Republican, that is) still lives!!

Yes, I know that former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton is belittled here on MDN for what happened under her watch.

Do I agree with calling her "Killer Hillary?" No. "Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton" works for me.

willgrr and HAetc, try typing "Former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin" once. I dare you. Can't do it because the defaults "airhead bimbo" and "caribou barbie" are too hard to overcome?

""Harpy?" Who uses that kind of language to describe a woman in this enlightened age, even a woman one dislikes?"

"Sarah Palin doesn't qualify as a "woman". She is an overgrown brat girl and a clueless airhead bimbo."

So this type of invective is perfectly reasonable to hurl at any liberal woman politician? Oh, no, we should be "respectful" and not "hateful."

Double standard. Typical for liberals.

"Wishful thinking, Justaman."

Not surprising you didn't get my meaning locomotive. All you have to do is look beyond Putin's 51 Billion Dollar Olympic production to see a country where the avg. citizen salary is around $600 US. A nation who boasts the 8th largest economy in the world with the highest amount of billionaires residing in Moscow.

While the oligarch advance their agenda by buying & burying votes, citizens spend their day straining potable water.

So yes, I do tend to equate seeing Sputnik as similar to viewing Ronald Reagan at the last GOP convention. These good ole days are meant to soften good ole reality for many.

"So tell us, exactly what has the Senate Republicans done in the past 5 years since Obama has been president? Name one thing they have done POSITIVE."

They did not vote for the debacle known as Obamacare, and to some voters who've felt this law right down in the pocketbook, that might be a very positive thing.

It seems that some Democrats here still believe in the boogeyman, and to them, it's a Republican, any Republican.

Really sad. Time to evolve, people.

Single-payer? No, I'm for more choice and less FORCE.

Instead of the tired old tune of "it wasn't fixable," I want to know WHY the previous system wasn't fixable. Are there no thinkers in America anymore?

"...you must have loved the old one where if you were lucky enough to be able afford it or were voluntarily offered it from your employer, great, and lucky to be healthy with no pre-existing conditions, and never lost your job and lost your insurance, then screw everyone else..."

What is this "lucky" stuff? Most working people I know used to consider it their business to make arrangements either to get ins. as a condition of their employment or buy it on their own. It was and is an important part of a thinking person's financial picture. And it used to be that most people took care of it through the choices they made.

In 2011, the Census Bureau reported that 48.6 million (15.7%) of Americans were uninsured. What number will remain uninsured after Obamacare, according to CBO? 30 million, along with most people's deductibles and premiums going UP, not down, as it was promised.

That old "break a few eggs to make an omelet" thingy, I suppose...

Well Landslime, they both suck, new one less than the old one. They where both designed by the Insurance industry with the help of all of the Republicans and a handful of Insurance state bought-off Democrat Senators.
