County permits being ignored

A growing indifference to acquiring proper building permits within Ward County was one of the issues brought before the Ward County Commission Tuesday. The matter was not resolved....

What amazes me is the county all concern now about permits and building when their predecessors always looked the other way when it came to building houses, property lines and lots, and so much more. So now the city is paying for the consequences of these huge mistakes and not making up for it.

this is a county not the city, i think the city governs it in the city limits. i know i am gulty of not applying but i always took it for grantid they just checked every year in the county.

The People continue to ignore the System...and things get done anyway.

I think the county is worried that if this becomes too much of a trend, their relevance will suffer.

What a money grab. Why should anyone have the right to deny me or approve of me doing improvements or building something on my property. Why isn't the right wingers not up in arms of having to pay to do something with in which you own. Keep government out of my life. isn't that the motto?

You guys need some obama thugs up there to show you how to shake down the public. You hillbillys up there haven't a clue Here's how it's done in "socialist progressive" states.

Fees Construction permit fees which include fees for building, plumbing, mechanical, and similar construction related permits issued by the Building Official, Impact Fees, Traffic Impact Fees, and land use & planning related fees, which include fees for variances, use permits, subdivision, site development, and similar application types. The Fire Prevention Bureau has fees for permits and annual safety inspections.
