Correct Broadway has been re-done from 21st Ave NW all the way to 20th Ave SW. However, the bridge deck on the viaduct has not been re-done since somewhere in the 70's. This will be accomplshed over two summers. Hope that clears up any confusion on Broadway just being re-done.

Based on HAetc's fascination with a certain cranium-orifice connection, I'd say he's the old NT4M.

I could be wrong...

all joking aside, the sad fact is that no highway construction out west started before june 23rd last year. If they think they're going to keep up with the repairs/improvements starting in late june they're nuts.

The city should make the west bypass part of city roadways and get the state/Fed to build a new west side bypass, floodproof and with limited access like an interstate. The RR trestle could be used to avoid building another bridge.

Obama must b off the mdn radar today--cool. Highway funding is most often state/Fed. It is 4 the city 2 request it. Be careful who u blame. The 50's/60's crowd on 16th wanted a california, curvey street with little concern for moving heavy traffic. Much like the attitude of the 17th st. crowd today. Those who said make it straight and wide lost. The smart people who wanted the city designed 4 future growth were stifled. It is hard to convince the state/Fed to pay for roads when u put $17 million in the State Fair, get another $17 million 4 a new grandstand, don't keep the river channel clear to minimize road damage from flooding and on and on and on. The put a bridge over N. Bdwy. that no one uses. 3rd st. NE was another N/S option but instead of widening it they allowed const. close to it. They left all the problems 4 us.

I thought when Broadway was widened that was fixing things. What else are they going to be doing?

City planners should be drug out in the street and beaten as an example to the rest. I get the repairs are needed and no complaints BUT why do we not have another main N/S route in the works? Old cat is right, why is the NW by-pass not four lane?
