One of my pet peeves are those who want their name pronounced different than it is spelled like "Sotomayer". They continually correct others who do not pronounce it as they wish even though it is not possible for others to read their mind. Except for names that sound like vulgar or other disgust, i't is pomp, rude, upity, inconsiderate, controlling, dispicable and abnormal behavior. Spelling should match hearing and not a game that ruins communication.

Spellin, Schmelling--who gives a rats hiney about such trivia. If it conveys the meaning--it is good enough 4 me. "it's the economy stupid". Thanks Wayne 4 pointing this out. Much of the trouble in our country comes from people who ignore the greater good and pound on their pesky self-centered agenda while ignoring the economy, war, unemployment, crime, minot event center, greed etc.

The word grille as you pointed out in your examples Wayne is most often used in connection with Bars and places where beer and wine are served..

Another fine example for our youth.. right?
