I to received my property tax statement Christmas eve(how nice)although my taxes did go down the valuation went up another $26000.00 over last year(over $100,000.00 in last 4 years)which ate up a portion of my tax break, come on Minot this no oasis or that great of a place to live to justify these over inflated property values, do not ask me for any money to build new schools or expand your overcrowded jails as you wanted economic development and you got it, congratulations on destroying a once nice city as it has went to*****now, thank the good lord I only have 3 1/2 years till retirement so I can get the*****out of this crime infested*****hole(if you don't spend it for me by then) Merry Christmas and you are well on your way to driving the once good people of Minot out.

If you don't like it, the fix is easy. Move to Wyoming. Or New Mexico. Or Mississippi. Or Arkansas. Much lower tax rate there. I am sure they would be glad to have you.

I could have swore they had a report on the local news that they were sending out the taxes a few days BEFORE the December 10th SPECIAL election....that got defeated and I suspect they withheld them statements and reformulated, and skimmed enough off for a new school or two....QUESTION AUTHORITY?

Christmas Miracle. Thanks to the NO Vote which saved our children in Minot, my taxes went down $1,000 from last year. It does concern me that the valuation went up $47,000 in 2 years. Getting tax me on Christmas Eve, that's a nice touch. Now, let's keep this No Vote going, again and again.

It might be worth adding that if the state continues down the current path of over taxation the Gordon Kahl incident will look like childs play

I believe this buy down in property taxes the state legislature provided was only for two years. Can't wait until that expires and the property owners get to see a huge increase again. by then their valuations will have gone up another 20% and the buy down will expire. there's going to be some extremely angry people.

Since everyone in Western North Dakota has a BIG Oil Job or several Oil Wells Property Taxes should be insignificant ! I personally know of several people whose Property Taxes are more than their Mortgage. Having driven out the Poor and the Elderly there should be NO Problem paying higher Taxes on that $250,ooo 700 sq ft Cracker Box.

My Rolls Royce should be here next week.........
