Voters reject school plan

December 11, 2013

Minot voters went to the polls Tuesday, and decided that it’s not the right time to address the growing needs of the Minot Public School District. Voters rejected a $125 million bond issue Tuesday....

This is a red city and red state. Oil is red. it is ok 4 oil workers to make big bucks but those min. wage workers don't deserve squat. Reds despise public ed. and it sure shows here. they would rather fund a telemarketer even if they take the money and disappear in the night. They r taxing us 2 death with "tax and spend liberals" on their lips. they would waste $1 million on a pointless, ideological statement b4 they would save 1 low income elderly person from losing their home to high oil costs. Don't listen 2 what they say--watch what they do.

I am so sick of blaming repubs on this. This is a non-partisan issue as far as I see it because people of all political persuasions voted against based on those who we know. We would have been more inclined to vote for it if they'd not have asked for so much so soon after people are still recovering from flood expenses.
