I feel so sad...that we did not 'come together'....'for the children'.....

LowT, it does not matter who runs the government, as long as we pay more and more for government, including schools.

PWP: There r weeks of comments on the letters. Read up 4 funding answers. what happened to the approx. 2,500 missing student spaces from our 10,000 student max and all of the adds from expansions and ramstad? If u cannot explain it with sense and clarity--we vote no again. Heck we might vote no anyway. No add campaign please--it looks dishonest. u reap what u sow. The washington 2 step was a slap to many minoters. Shag er on down to bis and ask the governor and state reps so it can b a public record. get er done!

To PeeweePeterson, honestly they can get the money from somewhere other than my empty bank account. We are tired of footing the bill for their crazy spending. It was time that the voters cut their purse strings. If overcrowding is such a problem, here is a great idea! OPEN UP JEFFERSON AS AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AGAIN!!!!! Then they wouldn't have to build another elementary school. Elementary overcrowding would then be solved. But see... They don't want to do that. They want to build a new fancy elementary school with our money instead of utilizing what they already have.

TO the people who voted no. What is your solution to overcrowding? Things never get cheaper, they only go up in price.

Yahoo, it was defeated. Now, maybe they will reign in on their moeny happy power, find stringent ways to attack this problem. We can't trust a board, or superindentent who just a couple years ago, sold the property where the Washington School building was. So short sided and such poor planning. Now go back to the drawing board. If the board can not design a strategic frugal plan, it is time to all step down, along with the super.

WHY should only property tax owners foot the bill? Taxation without proper representation?

if there is a fiduciary mentality the trust of the people will be there. it is just the actions of people in power that are in it for the fact of self gain, change the people incharge. that is the best lesson for the kids.

It really does not matter who runs the city.....we should not question the process if we are Democrats....we should just be 'willing to pay more'....'for the children'. Be good Democrat Party people and come together on that....

Cost to us is NO object, if we are 'investing' in ANY level of government....

The school system did not explain the loss of 2,500 plus student spaces which should b a higher number from all the additions. ramstad, lutheran school etc. the state has taught us not to expect anything in tax relief, in part because they cannot control the mill levy at the county level. Their attitude about keeping the oil tax money is despicable. The message must be NO to maintain some sense of integrity in local Gov. Last, too many of us can't afford the $450 per year and i personally believe it will be closer to $1,000 when expenses and maint. r added.

why would I want to be part of a "process" that removes money from my pocket? Be part of a "process" that takes away my ability to feed my family, for a city that wants to take, take, take. Is that the way it is, just be part of the process? just go along with it?

After being educated on what our property taxes are going to be with relief for the next 2 years, and not knowing what the outcome is going to be today and not knowing what type of property tax increase we are facing, in addition, if the property tax relief by the state will be in tact after 2 years, this whole issue to be honest is apples and oranges. So how can I take it seriously when I don't know what exactly I am voting for or facing in the future. This whole issue is murky....again apples and oranges......no facts on it except the stringing at the heart facts but I have to think with my head and the future with clear cut facts, and nothing is there to be honest.
