markhighwater/willygarr/canook,

I'm still waiting for math class.

If the following is true, I was ten when you started your tour in Vietnam. Do you honestly expect any of us to believe you talk like this, a person of your age and hopefully wisdom. If I was ten then you would have to be almost 80 now. It's hard to deceive for that long.

Started tour on May 15, 1968 at Bien Hoa Province, South Vietnam..My rank is Captain, Us Army. My MOS {training} is 4800D Maintenance Officer for Ordnance and Civil Affairs...Units served; A Co. Army Depot Long Binh Army S>P>T>, CMD Saigon, 1st LOG CMD, USARV... Medals: Purple Heart

Say what you will but this fund is doomed without improvements. Without some sort of SS reform this will cease to exist.

Current projections show that the Social Security fund’s surplus will run out in 2033. After that, benefits will be reduced to 75 percent of promised levels

"It wouldn't surprise me one bit to find some Tea/GOPer somehow behind the original website being so badly made...It also wouldn't surprise me one bit that an army of Tea/GOPer's are logging on every day in hopes their traffic will continue bogging it down....After all , they are the party of sabotage & obstruction."

This post of billllllygitmo's doesn't surprise me in the least. Just the latest version of the blame-anyone-other-than-your-selfie game.

"The 2013 Trustees Report shows that Social Security is fully solvent until 2033. After 2033, it faces a moderate long-term shortfall...The 2013 Trustees Report also continues to project that the Disability Insurance (DI) trust fund by itself will be able to pay all scheduled benefits until 2016 when, if Congress takes no action, the DI trust fund will be able to pay about 80 percent of scheduled benefits."

nt4m,

We all pay into the programs that you subscribe to but you have to ask how long any of these will still be there. I don't know your age and you will have to determine that for yourself. For me these programs will be there until I die. But for future retirees that may not be the case and if it is there for you who will pay for it. Will it be your children or you grandchildren. I hope your not dependent on these benefits. Save now, you will thank me later.

nt4m,

You have to align yourself with liberal democrats. No problem with that, eventually you will run out of people in this country to fund your dependence. This used to be the country of opportunity but we have progressed to the what can you give me now country. I'm thinking you must be smart enough to have a job, but you never now.

willygarr/canook,

I've spent enough time on you, let's move on. Social security, Medicare and Medicaid will be insolvent in time and ultimately obamacare. Show us what your made of by refuting this and not by personal attacks.

I know people here are growing tired of my insistent complaint against you. But when you post on these message boards we hope that you will not post false information. I understand that may be naïve on my part. I believe that if someone lies that they can't be trusted. You've lied and honestly can't be trusted.

The reality of my comment may be hard for some to comprehend but it is fact. If we as a country don't do something to improve all of these programs they will cease to exist. Do some research and then come back and give all of us an intelligent rebuttal.

"Insurance is a risk business selling an invisible product...the consumer is taking a risk of NEVER receiving a return on their investment...and the insurance companies and their team of lawyers and statisticians make sure of that."

So why is the gov't getting into the business? And why is the gov't mandating that people buy this product?

Some 1.6 million Americans have registered for Obamacare, but more than nine-out-of-10 of them actually signed up for Medicaid, a trend that could end up slamming federal and state government budgets.
