Please cite one specific instance of "Christ and His church" being under direct attack by the government. Please cite one specific instance of people who willingly sell themselves into servitude to the government. Please cite one specific instance of "innocent unborn dead sacrificed on the altar of convenience".

Let us honor our veterans by not giving into hyperbole and Fox Newz Channel propaganda. Turn off your televisions and open your eyes.

No, subman, your mention of prayer in school applies to all religions, not just "Christ and His church". "Any and all welfare cases and all the abortions..." are not specific citations of examples.

Mr. Moen might just be suggesting that we are living as slaves now.

He is more correct than not. The local gov wants us to pay more now! Just more enslavement of the peasants who just want to live a life and the local money masters won't let them.

Maybe the histrionics are a little over the top, jumping the shark, but I must agree with the title of the letter.

Viet Nam draftees started living like free men, but they had to flee to Canada to live like free men. They weren't free in America anymore.

Hiw about keep Government out of schools.. How about keep sports out of schools.. How about education being the primary reason behind schools for our kids..

How about if my kid wants to bow his/her head and say a private prayer to whom ever they worship that the Government keep its fing nose out of it.

This was America.. Now its a melting pot of degenrates out to force their will on the resat of the country.

When America weas founded the hard working people came here for freedom of religion.. then along came the free loaders and gays and non english speaking people and rode on the backs of those who made this country great, who worked and developed farms and grew crops that fed people.. Then the freeloaders came along and wanted equal rights for doing nothing..just becasue of the color of their skin or their sexual preferance..

Our once great American has been infected with disease from ingrates imposing themselves on our style of life..

"how about prayer in school?" Yeah, how about that? Maybe not everybody believes in imaginary invisible cartoon characters with magical powers. Maybe not everybody believes in fairy tales. How about this? Keep prayer out of school and in the church where it belongs.

Can it be true? I thought they promoted tolerance. We have to tolerate everyone. I guess that must have been for everyone and anything OTHER than Christians. What about those of Jewish faith? Or is everyone excluded except Muslims for example? The few minority want to shut the majority up. whiners. Can't live and let live, can you?

you do make me chuckle. Tolerance with oppression!

Here is the definition of tolerance:

Jump to: navigation, search

Look up tolerance in Wiktionary, the free dictionary.

Tolerance or toleration is a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward those whose opinions, practices, race, religion, nationality, etc., differ from one's own

Maybe you want to redefine your position.

Quite a phrase you turned there, disgusted.

"Tolerance with oppression"

Nobody, and I mean nobody, should be opposing NT4M's stance on religion. He's just plain sick and tired of "cartoon characters" ruining his life. How does anyone dare to believe differently than he?

We will be herded and pressed into this fiercely held viewpoint of tolerance for others...or else!

Plenty of people in this world believe differently than me, NT4M.

Tell me why you think that right wingers' promote a "one and only valid religion - Christianity."

angeR has said that he's an atheist. He has views on some matters that are humane and logically consistent. I consider those views valid, in spite of his not embracing my religion of Christianity.

Why so bitter and intolerant of one religion?

Back atcha, NT4M

So, does anyone have specific examples of "Christ and His church" being under direct attack by the government? I can share an example of someone selling themselves into servitude to the government: join the military. I did. Also, I am still looking for a specific instance of "innocent unborn dead sacrificed on the altar of convenience".

"Just keep it out, that's the easiest and most Constitutional way to deal with it. So No Tea, I suppose you are a conservative in sheep's clothing. You want us to be 'Constitutional'. So, let's get rid of all of the Departments. The Department of Health, Education, Agriculture, etc. The Constitution says nothing about restricting religion. It does say freedom of religion. It came from the men who had lived under government control in Europe. They wanted people to live free.

Words seem to change meaning over time, as gay, etc. Liberal today may mean something to you, but in action the liberals have been restricting and controlling others. Growing up, Constitutionalists were the extreme restrictive party. Today, Conservative parties are protecting freedom of choice, which is what the Constitution provided. funny that you should think of that as opposition to change when in actuality it promotes creative individual responsibility and thinking.

ah, thanks Locomotive. I did neglect to include the usage of the word constitutional by our elders. It was often used in reference to one's body or mind.

This could have been a great letter, but it decided instead to head off in the red meat direction. And the comments on this thread don't do it any favors either.

let me finish that sentence for you. "Another great example of conservatives protecting the freedom of choice is their efforts to stop people from voting".....multiple times. Protecting life is an honorable thing. Men and women have free easy access to birth control.
