A clean bill? We think not

October 23, 2013

Reid & McConnell made a deal, right? Kentucky got something BIG. But that is beside the point. Federal employees get subsidized insurance from their employer, just like most of the folks who work for large employers. If you don't pay any of your employee's health care, you should be ashamed!Suck it up!

Are Republicans only interested in punishing people? There actually was a proposal to cut the gov't HI benefit to all Federal employees, which rightfully went nowhere at all. And what is the purpose in cutting the benefit to congressional staffers et. al. beyond making a mean spirited point?

I hope Bryan O. has taken note of the general tenor of the left v right posts.

hey dustoff, why do you write 'axing' instead of 'asking'? It seems like you're mocking someone else's dialect. But that seems too childish for a grown adult; surely there's some other reason. What is it?

you bet--those hi steppin rightys wanted stuff (orielly). ask romney how hard it can be to win an election. the winner is called successful. all of congress won an election, therefore, successful. why do they want to pick on the successful (fox talk)? in this case the only "successful" they pick at is congress. two perfect examples of the twisted t party thinking. demand stuff and pick on the successful while you rant against it. why not demand no one have "great" health ins., not just congress? oh! that would include the kochs and norquist i betcha.

why just congress and cicil servants. there are far more than them with higher wages and bennys. why not the non-fed people? it is because they hate the government and they hate the Fed because it keeps them from misbehaving like polluting or cheating the public out of their money. our hospital is very high priced and sends bills that even a lawyer may not understand--we need protection from that. i can't wait for a single payer system where a Fed expert will talk to the doctor/hospital about their bill and tell them what they will pay not ask them what they must pay. then all the parasites in our medical system will have to get honest or work elsewhere.

Hey Dustoff, I was just asking, as that I wanted to confirm that you are, indeed, using 'axing' as a derogative smear against African Americans. It's also nice to confirm that you're not able to discern the difference between observational humor and mocking an entire race. To answer your question though, I can recall a time when more than 460,000 people lost their health insurance: the great recession that started under your man, W. Of course, 460,000 people have not lost their insurance under the ACA, so your question is predicated on a distorted concept of reality. Check your facts.

loco: alcohol is create competition in oil/gas because they have too much control. ACA is to control the runaway costs in medical care. nat. news says the last minute demand from the right for personal info on the ACA sign up process; is what gummed up the system. that is what obstructionism will get you. but aca will survive and the dems learned again they must not be so nice and keep the hammer down on crazy requests.

medicare limits payments to doctors/hospitals and it works. the greedy won't deal with it but their are enough others to serve the public. the fed is not stupid about what care should be given and what a fair price is for that care. they have been advised by the mayo clinic and other expert clinics/hospitals.

each year in our U.S. 45,000 people die for lack of medical care. they can,t afford it. 100,000 more die from the wrong medication. we can do better. for u fox talk listeners--bengazi 4. do you think a doctor who is in it for the money is more or less likely to be a good doctor? do you think a koch with bank accounts filled with silverspoon money is concerned about "the least of his people"? hey t party--those parks you would never create or fund are open. watch out for the lightning.

w's: just say paul ryan and get it out. todays news: reds plan more of the same. good 4 the more civil folk. romney lost, they did't get it. ACA was popular b4 they lied about it and it is popular again but they don't want it. perhaps the 2014 elections will be their eye opener but it will come too late to save the party as we know it today.

star: it is said 45,000 die because the ama puts money over medicine. the er has nothing to do with it. they attack alternative medicine doctors with a vengeance. they pay high priced lawyers to do the dirty work. Dr. Brian Briggs was one we saw them attack in Minot for many years. no one short on money can hire lawyers like that.

my spouse has a 1 year old medical bill thet the hospital and ins. co. have batted around with no intervention from us. compare the size and complexity of the aca to that one simple bill. evr hear something like that on bengazi news? no because they hate government and favor big business like hospitals. they won't change--thank God.
